It’s that time of year again, kids. The Toronto Fringe Festival opens today! Here’s an interpretation of my reaction by one of the finest actors of our time:
Job #1 for me today is acquiring a play pass – and this year, I’m going for the 10-play. No foolin’ around this time, folks. For info on passes, reservations and the full line-up, as well as various events happening throughout the fest, visit the Fringe site here: http://fringetoronto.com/fringe-festival/
Here’s a handful of plays I’ll be seeing over the next several days, with more to come:
Piecing Together Pauline – Tarragon Main Space
The Judy Monologues – The Annex Theatre
Life in the Raw – George Ignatieff Theatre
One Night – George Ignatieff Theatre
Snug Harbor – The Centre (site-specific) 316 Dupont St.
Have any recommendations? If so, give me a shout in Comments. So what are ya waiting for – let’s get out there and Fringe!
Hey there! Long time reader, first time commenter… (as if this was radio!). We’d love to have you at The Omega Project (if you’ve got the time). A site-specific piece at Trinity St. Pauls, it’s about Western ideal of international aid and the Egyptian revolution!
Hi Luke. Thanks for reading! I have a few things competing for my time this weekend & next week, on top of Fringing (including a f/t job) – so I’m pretty booked up right now. There is a possibility that I could make it out Sat, July 14 – but I realize that’s very late in your run. I’ll try my best to get out to see you guys.
Late, early, it’s all the same run! We’d love to hear your thoughts! Happy Fringing!
Cool. Happy Fringing yourself!
Honour Killings at the Helen Gardiner Phelan theatre. 75 min, ensemble drama.
Thanks David!
